New Trek Movie = Parallel Universe
One of the main fellas of the new Trek movie states that its 23rd Century scenes will be a parallel timeline to established TOS history.

I saw that quote and think it's a copout. If the movie is nothing more than action in a parallel universe, it's not worth the money to go see. A reboot, on the other hand, which the comment was meant to rebut fans fear of, that would be well-worth going to see. Part of the problem for fans with "Enterprise" was the way it was trying to reboot while denying it was a reboot. Don't insult our intelligence.
